Sacramento County Spotlight
Sacramento County All Stars
The Sacramento County All Star Team is a working award, the team provides opportunities for local 4-H youth to represent 4-H within Sacramento County and gain experience organizing events at the county and sectional levels. The All Star Team is the highest rank that a 4-H member can achieve at the county level and the responsibility that comes with the rank can provide a wide range of great opportunities, experiences and memories.
All Stars must attend the State Leadership Conference (note: the 4-H member's cost to attend the conference is paid for by the Sacramento County Leader's Council), County All Star meetings, Sectional Leader's Council meetings, Achievement Night, and develop and follow through with goals appropriate for the All Star Team. For a member who is unfamiliar with the All Star program, this might seem like a lot of activity, but it is very manageable over the course of a year. By the time that a member has reached their gold star rank, this next step is a positive, challenging experience and a great opportunity to work as a team to provide leadership to the County 4-H organization.
The All Star application packet is due at the 4-H Office no later than 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 1. Applicants must be at least 15 years old on December 31st; currently be enrolled in their third year of 4-H and have achieved their Gold Star Rank. If you would like more information, please contact the County 4-H office under "Contact Us" on the top navigation line.
