UCCE Master Food Preservers of Sacramento County
& food safety
UCCE Master Food Preservers of Sacramento County share UC research-based methods of home food preservation and food safety within the local community.
Our classes are affordable and fun! Our preserving curriculum includes:
- Boiling water bath and steam canning
- Pressure canning
MFP volunteers are highly-trained resources who provide information and assistance to the public by giving demonstrations at the Branch Center and by participating in farmers' markets, community festivals, and other county events.
The program is a public service of the University of California Division of Agriculture and Natural Resources, administered locally by the UC Cooperative Extension office of Sacramento County.
